Tom Watson built Sunderland into the "Team of All Talents", winning three league titles in the 1890s. In 1896 he moved to Liverpool, a young club still finding its feet, and won their first league title in 1901, then a second in 1906. He managed Liverpool for 19 years until his death in 1915, and is still the club's longest serving manager. Known for his warmth and showmanship, he made players and fans feel part of something bigger.
